Beatrix Potter

Beatrix Potter (1866–1943) was an English author, illustrator, and naturalist, best known for her beloved children's books featuring anthropomorphized animals. She is most famous for creating the character of Peter Rabbit, whose story first appeared in The Tale of Peter Rabbit in 1902.

Potter's early life was marked by a passion for nature and art, and she spent much of her time studying and drawing animals. Her illustrations, often based on her observations of wildlife, brought a distinctive charm to her stories. Beyond writing, Potter was also an accomplished farmer and conservationist.

Her books, which include The Tale of Benjamin Bunny, The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck, and The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin, remain widely adored by readers of all ages.
