Luke Tyerman (1821–1889) was an English Methodist minister and historian. His background as a Wesleyan minister gave him a unique perspective and deep understanding of the man he was writing about. Tyerman dedicated a significant portion of his life to meticulously researching John Wesley's life, determined to create a biography that was both comprehensive and accurate.
